So 78 chromosomes are in every species of dog of which they are broken down into 38 different pairings. These are the traits in your dog that occur because more than a single pair of genes are working together to create and control any inherited trait.

Looking at the DNA results can also determine whether your dog can be a potential carrier of the disorder, and still not become affected by it.
If the dog DNA results from the dog breed test show that your dog tested positive for a genetic disorder, they are then called a carrier of that recessive gene. This usually means they have the disorder and any of their offspring can have the recessive gene or be a carrier of the gene.
The dog DNA results from a dog breed test can prove very useful in determing the specific breed of your canine. It can provide medical conditions, but also what is the breed of your dog so you will know if you have a purebred or one that is multiple breeds.
