Dogs And Their Health Issues

Dog health is an important issue due to the severity and the possibility of transferring diseases to humans. Dog health is generally correlated with diet and proper healthcare. Regular vaccinations as well as appropriate diets are essential for a healthy dog’s growth. Dogs are more susceptible to diseases due to exposure to contaminated areas. Constant medication in form of bathing shampoo and soap is usually applied. A regular high nutrient diet is also another factor that has to apply regularly. By regularly visiting the local vet it can prevent many diseases by early detection and can save the pet a great deal of stress. Regular exercise is needed for dogs with high levels of energy otherwise this can lead to anxiety and mood swings.

Diseases such as viral, gastrointestinal and eye diseases are extremely common in dogs. Conditions such as rabies can prove fatal and can also develop into a public health risk. Many of these diseases can be contracted by other animals such as bats, birds and cats. Therefore it is always important to keep a vigilant eye on your pet when possible.

Vaccinations tend to be a traumatic experience for many dogs however it is mandatory for the health of the owner and the pet. All injections must be given at regular intervals and during the first 6 months. Rabies vaccinations are compulsory as it is fatal.

Feeding your pet involves keeping them happy and fit. Many nutritious products are available for all breeds and sizes. Regular meals of varying sizes should be introduced. Local vets and pet store supply stores will be able to provide information.

Neutering can help improve life in dogs that are not intended for breeding. Aggression and health conditions may arise if certain pets are not neutered. Cancers and tumors have also been linked to reproductive systems due to hormonal activity.
